Joint Technical Secretariat has prepared a special e-brochure to mark the aniversary of the day when the European Union was concieved. The brochure is available in Hungarian and Romanian.
On the 9th of May 1950, Robert Schuman presented his proposal on the creation of an organised Europe.
Today, the 9th of May has become a European symbol (Europe Day) which, along with the flag, the anthem, the motto, identifies the political entity of the European Union. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the co-operation opportunities the European Union has to offer for the people living in the border area of Hungary and Romania, bringing the different actors – people, economic actors and communities – closer to each other.
