The National Development Agency from Hungary and the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism from Romania opened the fourth call for proposals (HURO/1001) in the frame of the Hungary-Romania Cross-Border Co-operation Programme 2007 – 2013 on 10 December 2010.
What is the subject of the Call?
The range of supported activities is quite wide. Potential applicants can apply for financing in the following fields:
Who can apply?
The spectrum of eligible applicants comprises:non-profit organisations (ranging from public institutions to local government institutions, chambers of commerce and industry and NGOs, etc.) who act in the purpose of public interest in the specific border area and wish to carry out a joint project with cross-border relevance together with one or more partners from the other side of the border.
What is the overall amount of funding?
In the frame of the present call 20 724 106 EUR community funding is available (ERDF funds), amount which is increased with the relevant Hungarian and Romanian state co-financing
How to apply?
Applications in English have to be submitted to the Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS), to Budapest, Hungary. The Hungarian and Romanian translations have an orientative character.
The deadline for the submission of Applications is 1 March 2011. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered for evaluation.
Important notice for Romanian Applicants
NOTE! Romanian applicants are obliged to notify the Romanian National Authority regarding their participation within the HU-RO CBP call for proposals before or within one-month deadline from the official submission of the application. This condition is applicable for the applications submitted after the date of the official publication of the Methodological Guidelines of the Governmental Ordinance no. 46/ 2007 with all its amendments. The notification must respect the standard format, according to the annex of the Methodological Guidelines, must be properly signed by the contact person from the project and sent to the Romanian National Authority with confirmation of receipt, using any communication tool: email, fax, currier. In case this obligation is not fulfilled, the Romanian National Authority may decide to refuse the signature of the national Co-financing Contract.
