At the end of February the JTS held trainings for the Lead Partners of the projects selected for financing in the HURO/1101 call for proposals in three locations (Debrecen, Oradea and Szeged).
The seminars were provided in order to ensure the effective implementation of projects, to introduce the tasks and responsibilities of lead partners and the operation of the IMIS system. In the 2007-2013 programming period Lead Partner seminars were held regularly; altogether 55 Lead Partners were trained during the last session.
Shortly after the seminars, the JTS invited all those present to participate in a joint project consultation, where issues related to the implementation process or several methods for handling potential risks were jointly discussed. The meeting served as a consultation opportunity for all concerned parties and not least, its objective was to facilitate communication between the project partners themselves. Altogether 79 persons participated in these consultations.
In contrast with previous years, in 2013 a considerably higher amount of the ERDF allocation has to be spent to fully utilise the funds available for this programming period and this can only be achieved by ensuring the smooth implementation of projects. This process requires huge efforts and good planning from all actors involved. In the consultation sessions many projects formulated alternatives to handle crucial issues which already appear as risk factors. The partners also expressed their commitment towards the programme objectives, so that upon the closing date of the programme all parties involved will have actually considered participation in the programme a joint success.
The presentations held at the seminars are available for download here.
